DESCRIPTION

The oil passage of the control valve body for the 1983-85 626 and 1983-85 GLC has been modified in order to make the shift from 1-2 smoother. The modified control valve body is available as a service part for these vehicles.

NOTE: (1983-85 626 ONLY) This modified control valve body must be used together with the latest piston return spring (part no. FT40 19 363) which has been installed to the production vehicles since March, 1985. Refer to Service Bulletin, Category 7, 015/85 for the VIN of production change and installation procedure.
