DESCRIPTION

A new optional 626 alternator with increased output (70A) is now available as an exchange unit. This optional alternator is a special unit and will not be installed by the factory for normal assembly.

If a customer drives with heavy electrical loads in congested stop & go traffic, the output from the alternator may not be sufficient for such conditions. Therefore, a dead battery might result even though there is no problem with the vehicle charging system and battery.

Should a customer complain about a dead battery and the above conditions are suspected, use the optional 70A alternator instead of the normal 65A alternator.
