DESCRIPTION
In order to reduce the tendency of the steering to drift after a sharp turn, the configuration of the front strut thrust bearing, washer and mounting rubber have been modified since the production of July 1, 1986. In addition, these parts have been established as service parts.
If a customer complains of a 1986 626 ATX vehicle that tends to drift after a sharp left or right turn, right turn, install the modified parts listed below. Refer to the 1986 626 Workshop Manual, page 13:6 for repair instructions.
CAUTION: Apply wheel bearing grease on the thrust bearing and install the seal to retain the grease.
