SUBJECT: Recall Campaign Number 19604 1986 626 Throttle Sensor

Mazda Motor Corporation has decided to conduct a recall campaign for the throttle sensor on certain 1986 626 models starting on April 18, 1986.

In cold weather, the rotor of the throttle sensor might experience a thermal contraction, and in the worst case, the rotor could stick to the bushing causing an insufficient return of the throttle valve. If the above condition should occur, the engine speed may not decrease to idle speed when the accelerator pedal is released just after starting the vehicle.

Detailed procedures for this recall are shown on attachment sheets I and II. The letter to be sent to the owners is attachment sheet III.

If the subject vehicles are in your inventory, you are requested to complete the necessary repair work before sales.
