DESCRIPTION

In order to make the shift from 1-2 smoother, the following modifications to the RX-7 automatic transmission have been made since the production of June, 1986.

1. The automatic transmission fluid has been changed from Type F to Dexron II.

2. The servo piston return spring has been changed from 35 kg to 30 kg spring force.

LUBRICANT SPECIFICATION LABEL CHANGE:

In order to standardize lubricants required for servicing RX-7 vehicles produced after June, 1986, specifications for power steering fluid has been changed. The new specification now allows use of either Type F or Dexron II for power steering.

Because of these changes, the lubricant specification label under the hood has been changed as well.
