There is a possibility that noise can result from the water flow inside the heater unit. This noise can occur when the engine rotates at 4,000 to 5,000 RPM with the temperature control lever approximately in the medium position.

Should the customer complain about such a noise, a service part is available to repair this problem. Use the procedures listed in this bulletin to eliminate the noise.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

Install an orifice in the (return side) heater hose as follows:

1 Push the orifice into place so that it
is seated evenly in the hose. Do not install the orifice in a slanting position.

2. Push the hose down 30 mm evenly on the fitting next to lower radiator hose.

3. Tighten the hose clamp until the distance (A) becomes 1-5 mm (see illustration).
