Fig. 6 Accelerator switch component test:

1. Disconnect AAS control unit electrical connector.
2. Connect suitable ohmmeter between terminal N and ground. Ensure continuity is present when accelerator pedal is 3/4 depressed.
3. If no continuity is present, check for damaged or disconnected wire harness or defective switch, repair or replace as required.
4. Connect ohmmeter between accelerator switch terminals b and d, Fig. 6. Ensure continuity is present when accelerator is depressed .276-.315 inch. Replace switch as required.
