DESCRIPTION
Some problems have been found with the run channel being jammed and/or improper alignment of the door glass on 1986 RX-7 vehicles. These conditions occur with power windows, but in some cases, may also occur with manual windows, Please read this bulletin thoroughly to determine applicable conditions and improvements for power and manual windows. There are 3 basic conditions as follows:
Condition 1
On power windows the glass movement does not align in the run channel groove, resulting in jamming the glass against the run channel frame.
Cause:
Improper height of the regulator guide bracket.
DOOR GLASS ASSEMBLY:
Condition 2
The door glass interferes with the run channel at the front end of the glass. This condition may occur on both power and manually operated windows..
Cause:
Glass leans toward the front of the vehicle.
RUN CHANNEL WRINKLE LOCATION:
Condition 3
The run channel tends to wrinkle during production line installation. This condition may occur on both power and manually operated windows.
Cause:
Difficult to install.
