Air Injection: Testing and Inspection
1. Check vacuum hose routing. If there is loose connection, blockage or leak, repair or replace vacuum hose(s) as necessary.
2. Warm up engine to normal operating temperature and run at idle.
3. Lift up air cleaner upper case and ensure air is sucked into air passage.
4. Increase engine speed to 2500 RPM and ensure no air is sucked into passage.
5. If air suction is not as described, check air control valve and reed valve.
6. Ensure exhaust gas is not emitted from air passage. If exhaust gas is emitted, replace reed valve.
