Fig. 25 Accelerator or kickdown switch circuit test. 1986-87:

1. Disconnect AAS control unit electrical connector.
2. Connect suitable ohmmeter between terminal F and ground, Fig. 25. Ensure continuity is present when accelerator pedal is 3/4 depressed.
3. If no continuity is present, check for damaged or disconnected wire harness or defective kickdown switch, repair or replace as required.
4. Connect ohmmeter between accelerator switch terminals. Ensure continuity is present when accelerator is 3/4 depressed. Replace switch as required.
