Shift Mechanism

After jacking up the vehicle and supporting it with safety stands, remove the parts in the numbered order shown in the image.

NOTE: Apply a coating of grease (lithium base, NLGI No.2) to the change lever ball, the ball seats, and each joint.

Change Lever Assembly




After installing the change lever assembly, pack grease (lithium base, NLGI No.2) into the place indicated by the arrow.

Spring




Remove the spring by prying against the hook with a flat-tipped screwdriver. Fit the hook into the groove of the bracket when installing.

Change Control Rod




Install the change control rod to the change lever as shown.
