SWITCHING ACTUATOR

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove switching actuator C-clip and attaching bolt, then the actuator, Fig. 6.
3. Reverse procedure to install.

Fig. 7 Turbocharger replacement:

TURBOCHARGER

1. Remove lower cover, then drain cooling system.
2. Remove components in numbered sequence as illustrated in Fig. 7. Before removing air pump, loosen air hose ``E'' from air flow meter.
3. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque turbocharger attaching nuts to 32.5-39.7 ft. lbs.
b. After torquing turbocharger attaching nuts to specifications, crimp edges of retainer plate against nuts. Torque exhaust cover attaching bolts to 23.1-34.0 ft. lbs.
c. Torque front cover attaching bolts to 32.5-39.7 ft. lbs.
