Turbocharger Boost Pressure
Fig. 2 Turbocharger boost pressure check:
1. Disconnect turbocharger-to-air bypass solenoid valve hose from the intercooler and connect a suitable pressure gauge, Fig. 2.
2. Start engine and run until normal operating temperature is reached.
3. Check boost pressure as engine speed increases. Boost should begin at approximately 4000 RPM and measure more than 0.7 psi above approximately 5000 RPM.
