DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY (TURBO ONLY):

DESCRIPTION

The limited slip differential for the 1987 RX-7 turbo has been changed from the 1986-1987 RX-7 non-turbo. The turbo limited slip differential uses plate springs instead of conical springs to apply pressure on the friction discs and friction plate.. Also, the number of friction plates has been changed.

Please correct your 1987 RX-7 Workshop Manual Supplement, pages 9-4 and 9-7 as shown. Selfadhesive labels have been provided with this Service Bulletin. These labels are to be placed over the existing Workshop Manual Supplement page number so that the technician can refer to this Service Bulletin.

1. Measure the thickness of the 6 plate springs and add the values.
