*16 1987 RX-7 CORRECTION & MODIFICATION OF Issued 7/13/87
(ex. Turbo) A/C HOSE CLAMP Revised 7/27/87
DESCRIPTION
Some 1987 RX-7 vehicles equipped with air conditioning systems may encounter a buzzing noise caused by the suction side of the A/C flexible hose vibrating against the firewall.
When this condition occurs, check the retaining clamp (0000-67-A43A-6A) to see if it has lost its crimping ability. If it has, it can be easily corrected by following the steps below:
1. Loosen nut securing the clamp to the hose bracket.
2. Crimp the clamp as shown in the illustration.
3. Retighten nut.
This will give the clamp better crimping ability.
This bulletin replaces Service Bulletin Cat. 60,061/87. Please discard Service Bulletin Cat. 60,061/87 and file this bulletin in the appropriate category.
