Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

1. Cancel memory of malfunction code number by disconnecting negative battery cable and depressing brake pedal for at least 5 seconds, then reconnect negative battery cable.
2. Connect system checker to green, 6 pin check connector.
3. Connect jumper wire between green, 1 pin test connector and ground.
4. Turn ignition switch to On position.
5. Ensure no malfunction code numbers are displayed.
6. Start engine and ensure no malfunction code numbers are displayed.
