Toe-In


FRONT

1. Loosen left and right tie rod locknuts.
2. Turn both tie rods the same amount until specified adjustment is obtained. Both tie rods have right hand threads.
3. Torque tie rod locknut to 25-29 ft.lbs. on GLC and 2 wheel drive 323 models, 25-37 ft.lbs. on 323 models with all wheel drive, 51-58 ft.lbs. on 1984-87 626, 1984-88 RX-7 and Pickup models and 1988 929, or 51-72 ft.lbs. on 1988 626 and MX-6 models.
4. If boot is twisted, loosen boot band and straighten.

1. Loosen front lateral link inner attaching nut, then retorque nut to 52-63 ft.lbs.
2. Adjust toe-in by turning spacer, Fig. 4.
3. After adjustment is completed, torque attaching nut to 69-86 ft.lbs.




1987-88 323 Station Wagon & 1988 323 W/All Wheel Drive & 626 & MX-6 W/2 Wheel Steering

1. Loosen adjusting rod locknuts.
2. To increase toe in, turn right rod counterclockwise and left rod clockwise same amount.
3. To decrease toe in, turn right rod clockwise and left rod counterclockwise an equal amount.
4. Torque adjusting nuts to 41-47 ft.lbs. on 323 or to 41-59 ft.lbs. on 626 & MX-6.
