DESCRIPTION

There is a possibility that the crankshaft front end damage may be caused by insufficient clamping force of the timing belt pulley bolt.

To obtain higher clamping force, the pulley bolt surface has been treated with the special agent. In conjunction with this modification, tightening torque of the pulley bolt has been decreased from 80 - 94 ft-lbs (11 - 13 m-kg) to 80 - 87 ft-lbs (11 - 12 m-kg).

If you encounter this condition, install the modified pulley bolt and tighten it to the specified torque.
