DESCRIPTION
A groan noise may be heard from the rear suspension area when the vehicle is driven over bumps or when the brakes are applied. This noise may be mistaken for a suspension noise. However, the cause of this noise may be the parking brake cable. There is a possibility that the cables are rubbing against their holders near the trailing links resulting in a noise.
If you encounter this complaint, check the parking brake cable holders and apply lithium grease at the cable holders area as shown in the illustration below.
Protectors will be added to the cable around the holders at the production line in the near future.
