Compressor Assembly


NOTE: Change motor oil at regular intervals to maintain peak performance and prevent wear and oil leakage. The following are some quick visual checks.

TURBINE ROTOR ASSEMBLY

1. Cool the engine.
2. Remove air hose.
3. Check that rotor assembly turns smoothly.
4. If there is excessive load or noise, replace turbocharger.

COMPRESSOR WHEEL DEFLECTION

1. Cool the engine.
2. Remove air hose.
3. Check if wheel touches compressor housing.
4. If wheel touches housing, replace turbocharger.

ROTOR DEFLECTION

1. Cool the engine.
2. Remove air hose.
3. Inspect rotor for contact with housing.
4. If rotor contacts housing, replace turbocharger assembly.

OIL PASSAGE

1. Cool the engine.
2. Remove oil return pipe.
3. Check that carbonized oil has not blocked oil passage in turbocharger or the return pipe.
4. If carbonized oil is blocking oil passage, replace turbocharger and, if necessary, the return pipe.
