Timing Belt Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.2. Drain the engine coolant.
3. Remove in the sequence shown in the image, referring to the Removal Notes below for specially marked parts.
Removal Notes:
Upper idler pulley and timing belt:
Before removing the timing belt, perform the following operation:
a. Turn the crankshaft to align the matching marks of the pulleys.
b. Mark the timing belt rotation for proper reinstallation if it is to be reused.
Caution: Be careful not to allow oil, grease, or water on the belt.
