H266 39 050B Engine Mount (L)
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle and remove the under cover.
2. Inspect the left and right engine mounts.
3. If the engine mount is out of position, replace it in accordance with the following procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Remove the two bolts and air duct.
2. Remove two upper bolts and two lower clips so that the radiator fan shroud can move up and down without removing.
NOTE:
If the fan shroud is broken, replace it.
3. Right Engine Mount:
Disconnect the canister from the bracket and move it to the right to enable removal of the engine mount from above.
Left Engine Mount:
Remove the air flow meter and hose.
4. Place the wood block under the transmission near the joint between the engine and transmission. Jack up the engine until the engine weight is supported by the jack.
5. After jacking up the engine, remove the nut and washer for the engine mount from above.
CAUTION:
Be sure not to loosen the nuts before jacking up the engine. If the nuts are loosened or removed without jacking up the engine, the engine mount may possibly return to the proper position. However, this is dangerous because the engine suddenly moves downward.
6. Jack up the engine again until the engine bracket rises about 40 mm (1.6 in) from the engine mount.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to raise the engine more than 40 mm (1.6 in) to avoid disconnecting the fuel hose.
7. Remove the two nuts which fix the engine mount to the cross member.
8. Remove the engine mount from above.
9. Install the new engine mount to the cross member.
10. Lower the engine slowly so that the studs of the engine mount fit the holes in the engine bracket.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to pinch the engine harness between the engine mount and bracket.
11. Connect the engine mount and bracket.
Tightening Torque:
34 - 49 N-m (3.5 - 5.0 kg-m, 25 - 36 ft-lb)
12. Reinstall the canister to the bracket.
13. Reinstall the fan cowl with two bolts and clips.
Tightening Torque:
7.8 - 10.8 N-m (0.8 - 1.1 kg-m, 5.8 - 8.0 ft-lb)
14. Reinstall the air duct.
