DESCRIPTION
The two nuts that secure the cables to the main fuse block may loosen and cause the main fuse block to overheat and melt, resulting in discharge of the battery. To prevent the block from melting, you are requested to check the tightness of the nuts on 1988 626 and MX-6 in the dealer inventory and at any service.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Open the main fuse block cover.
2. Tighten the nuts to the specification.
Tightening Torque:
3-8 ft.lb., 37-95 in.lb.
3. Close the main fuse block cover. Mark a white "X" on the main fuse block cover to indicate that the repair has been completed.
NOTE:
This repair procedure should be completed at the same time that the air flow meter nuts are tightened. (See Service Bulletin Category 4, 031/87.)
