DESCRIPTION
There is a possibility that the clamping force of No. 3 engine mount studs is insufficient. Therefore, the studs may be broken by engine vibration, resulting in the engine dropping to the frame.
For this reason, you are requested to check all 1988 626 and MX-6 vehicles in dealer inventories and at any service according to the repair procedure shown in this bulletin.

1988 MX-6 vehicles manufactured in the U.S.A.:
NOTE:
Vehicles within the above VIN range with a white dot on the top of the No. 3 engine mount have already been repaired.
PARTS INFORMATION
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Slacken and remove nut 1.
2. Install new nut and tighten it to the torque listed below.
Tightening torque: 61 ft-lb - 75 ft-lb (8.5 kg-m - 10 kg-m)
3. Slacken and remove nut 2.
4. Install new nut and tighten it as listed above.
5. Mark No. 3 engine mount top with white dot to indicate it has been checked.
