Starter Motor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the wiring from the starter.
3. Lift up the vehicle and support it with safety stands.
4. Remove the bolts.
5. Draw the starter out from the lower side of the vehicle.







INSTALLATION
Note
When installing the starter, tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
Install in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque:
Bolts 31-46Nm (3.2-4.7 rn-kg, 23-34 ft-lb)
(B) terminal 9.8-12N.m (1.0-1.2 rn-kg, 7.2-8.7 ft-lb)
