DRIVELINE NOISE
DESCRIPTION
A clicking noise may be heard from the driveline during acceleration/deceleration, or pinging while shifting gear positions. This is the result of driveline component engagement during operation. The following modifications have been made to help eliminate this condition.
1. A coated washer/spacer is installed between the rear differential pinion bearing and the companion flange.
2. A new propeller shaft assembly with coated washer installed is now available.
If your customer complains about this, install the modified part(s).
