Throttle Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect the throttle sensor connector.

2. Measure the resistance of the throttle sensors. With the throttle closed terminals "A" and "B" should read 0.8-1.2 KOhms and terminals "E" and "D" should read 0.6-0.9 KOhms. At full throttle, terminals "A" and "B" should read 4.0-6.0 KOhms and terminals "D" and "E" should read 3.4-5.1 KOhms.
3. Replace the throttle sensor assembly, if necessary.

CAUTION: DO NOT adjust the throttle sensors. There is a throttle position auto-adjust system in the engine control unit.
