Transmission Case Components

Disassemble in the order shown in the image, referring to Disassembly Note.

Disassembly note
Extension housing




1. Remove the spring cap, spring, and steel ball.
2. Remove the spring cap, spring, and select-lock spindle.
3. Remove the blind cover.




4. Drive the roll pin from the control lever end.

NOTE: Do not remove the change control case.




5. Remove the extension housing attaching bolts.
6. Remove the extension housing.




Transmission case
Remove the transmission case from the intermediate housing and gear assembly with the SST.




Locknut

NOTE: Use pads in the vise to prevent damaging the SST.

1. Connect the SST to the mainshaft and tighten it securely in a vise.
2. Remove the locknut with the SST.
