DESCRIPTION
There is a possibility that a snapping noise can be heard from the front end of these subject vehicles. This condition occurs while the vehicle is moving slowly (walking speed) in forward or reverse, with the steering wheel fully locked to either side.
This noise may be caused by the sticking and slipping of the wheel bearing inside the front wheel hub. To prevent this noise, lock-tight has been applied to the wheel bearing outer race before the bearing is pressed into the knuckle.
If you encounter a customer complaint about this noise, remove the wheel bearing from the knuckle, and install a new one with lock-tight applied to the outer race.
PARTS INFORMATION
Although the part numbers of related parts have not been changed, the following parts are necessary for replacing the wheel bearing.
REPAIR PROCEDURE

3. Tighten all bolts and nuts removed according to the torque specifications in the Workshop Manual.
