DESCRIPTION

When you encounter a problem with the EC-AT installed on 1990 323 vehicles, you are requested to refer to "Troubleshooting & Repair Procedure" in the Workshop Manual to conduct the repair. For the EC-AT problems, however, basic diagnosis has not always been properly conducted. Consequently, in some cases, a repaired vehicle was brought in again for the same problem, or a non-defect A/T assembly was replaced.

The purpose of this bulletin is to explain important check points which should be noted during EC-AT problem diagnosis. As you know, SRT for the EC-AT diagnosis and its performance test has been provided. Also, when you replace an EC-AT assembly, please enter the results of the inspection on the inspection sheet attached. Please attach the inspection sheet to the EC-AT assembly when returning it to Mazda.
