Hydraulic Lash Adjusters

1. On SOHC engines, pour engine oil into oil reservoir in rocker arm.
2. Apply engine oil to new hydraulic lash adjusters.
3. Carefully install hydraulic lash adjusters into rocker arm. Be careful not to damage O-rings when installing hydraulic lash adjusters.
4. On DOHC engines, place the lash adjuster in a container of clean engine oil.
5. Do Not push the pin too hard or damage to the lash adjuster will result. Bleed the air from the HLA by inserting a pin into the plunger hole and pressing the plunger until it no longer moves.
6. Remove the engine oil remaining in the HLA installation holes.
7. Install new O-rings on the HLA, then insert into cylinder head.
