Installation
INSTALLATION
Note: Perform the following steps with the vehicle raised.
Lower Link (rear)
Install the lower link and tighten the wheel side.
Tightening torque:
54-75 N.m (5.5-7.6 m-kg, 40-55 ft-lb)
Lower Link (front)
Install the lower link and tighten the wheel side.
Tightening torque:
54-75 N.m (5.5-7.6 m-kg, 40-55 ft-lb)
Upper link
Install the upper link and tighten the wheel side.
Tightening torque:
54-75 N.m (5.5-7.6 m-kg, 40-55 ft-lb)
Rear Hub Support
Install the rear hub support.
Tightening torque:
93-117 N.m (9.5-11.9 m-kg, 69-86 ft-lb)
Parking Brake Cable
1. Loosen the dust cover bolts to gain space to install the parking brake cable.
2. Install the parking brake cable.
3. Tighten the dust cover bolts.
Tightening torque
Cable:
46-53 N.m (4.7-5.4 m-kg, 34-39 ft-lb)
Cover:
54-68 N.m (5.5-6.9 m-kg, 40-50 ft-lb)
Caliper Assembly
Install the caliper assembly.
Tightening torque:
45-68 N.m (4.6-6.9 m-kg, 33-50 ft-lb)
Driveshaft
Align the matching marks and install the driveshaft.
Tightening torque:
54-64 N.m (5.5-6.5 m-kg, 40-47 ft-lb)
End Play
Check the end play.
End play: 0.1mm (0.004 in) max.
Disc Plate
Install the Disc Plate.
Tightening torque:
235-314 N.m (24-32 m-kg, 174-231 ft-lb)
Locknut
1. Install a new locknut.
Tightening torque:
235-314 N.m (24-32 m-kg, 174-231 ft-lb)
2. Stake the locknut to the groove.
Wheel Speed Sensor (ABS)
Install the wheel speed sensor.
Tightening torque:
16-23 N.m (1.6-2.3 m-kg, 12-17 ft-lb)
Lower link (front and rear)
1. Install the wheel.
Tightening torque:
88-118 Nm (9.0-12.0 m-kg, 65-87 ft-lb)
Note: Perform the following steps with the vehicle on the ground.
Bounce the rear of the vehicle several times to seat the suspension.
2. Tighten the lower links at the body side.
Tightening torque:
Front: 93-117 N.m (9.5-11.9 m-kg, 69-86 ft-lb) Rear: 74-117 N.m (7.5-11.9 m-kg, 54-86 ft-lb)
Upper link (Body side)
Tighten the upper link at the body side.
Tightening torque:
93-117 N.m (9.5-11.9 m-kg, 69-86 ft-lb)
Stabilizer Link
Tighten the stabilizer link.
Tightening torque:
37-52 N.m (3.8-5.3 m-kg, 27-38 ft-lb)
Shock Absorber
Install the shook absorber.
Tightening torque:
74-93 N.m (7.5-9.5 m-kg, 54-69 ft-lb)
