Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Install the knuckle arm.

Tightening torque:
94-124 Nm (9.6-12.6 m-kg, 69-91 ft-lb)





2. Install the cotter pin.





3. Install the knuckle spindle to the shock absorber.





4. Install the knuckle arm to the knuckle spindle.

Tightening torque:
102-137 N.m (10.4-14.0 m-kg, 75-101 ft-lb)

5. Install the knuckle arm to the tie-rod end.

Tightening torque:
29-44 N.m (3.0-4.5 m-kg, 22-33 ft-lb)





6. Install the dust cover.

Tightening torque:
16-23 N.m (1.6-2.3 m-kg, 12-17 ft-lb)





7. Install the disc plate.

Note: Use a new locknut.

Tightening torque:
98-177 N.m (10-18 m-kg, 72-130 ft-lb)





8. Install the hubcap and measure the end play.

End play: 0.O5mm (0.002 in) max.





9. Remove the hubcap and stake the locknut to the groove.
10. Install the hubcap.





11. Install the wheel speed sensor (ABS).

Tightening torque:
16-23 N.m (1.6-2.3 m-kg, 12-17 ft-lb)





12. Install the caliper assembly.

Tightening torque:
78-117 N.m (8.0-11.9 m-kg, 58-86 ft-lb)





13. Install the wheel.

Tightening torque:
88-118 N.m (9.0-12.0 m-kg, 65-87 ft-lb)

14. Lower the vehicle and tighten the shock absorber bolts to the specified torque with the vehicle unladed.

Tightening torque:
93-117 N.m (9.5-11.9 m-kg, 69-86 ft-lb)

15. Check the front wheel alignment and adjust it if necessary.
