The Starter is a reduction type starter with a small, high-speed motor used to drive the pinion gear. This starter comes in two types, one utilizes a planetary gearset and the other has a small gear running a larger gear. The first type is used on MPV, 929, 626, MX-3, MX-6, RX-7 and B2200 with automatic transmission Fig 2. The second type is used by the MPV and B2600, Fig. 3.
