POWER SEAT WILL NOT ADJUST
DESCRIPTION
The power seat on some 1990 929 models may fail to adjust up and down smoothly. This is caused by a broken gear in the power seat motor.
A stronger material has been used for the seat lifter gear on vehicles produced since June 1, 1990.
If the power seat does not adjust properly on vehicles produced prior to June 1, 1990, check all related components for damage. If no other damage is found, refer to the Repair Procedures of this bulletin to correct the problem.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
Replace the front seat power unit according to Workshop Manual procedures in Section S.
NOTE:
There are two types of power units for the front seat on 1990 929 models. Refer to Parts Information for proper VIN-to-Parts application.
