Swirl Control Actuator and Valve

ACTUATOR

Swirl Control Valve Actuator Rod Movement:

1. Connect a vacuum pump to the actuator.
2. Apply 200 mmHg (7.88 inHg) vacuum and check that rod is pulled fully into actuator.
3. Replace if not as specified.

VALVE

NOTE: Swirl control valve open and closed position adjust bolts are factory set. Do not attempt adjustments.

Swirl Control Valve Linkage Movement:

1. Remove swirl control valve actuator.
2. Check that rod moves smoothly.
3. If binding or restricted movement is present, repair as needed or replace intake manifold assembly.
