COMPRESSOR

Removal Installation

1. Raise the front of the vehicle at least 3OOmm (11.8 in) and support it with safety stands.
2. Discharge the refrigerant system. (Refer to page U-28.)
3. Remove the splash shield and air guide.
4. Remove the compressor as shown in the figure,
5. Install the compressor in the reverse order of removal.
6. Install the air guide and splash shield.
7. Charge the refrigerant system.





1. Suction hose.
2. Discharge hose.
3. Compressor


Removal note: Immediately plug any open fittings to keep moisture out of the system.

Installation notes: Apply clean compressor oil to the 0-rings before connecting the fittings. Do not apply compressor oil to the fitting nuts. Adjust the belt tension to specification.

Tightening torque:

Compressor inlet and outlet: 9.8-16 N.m (1.0-1.6 rn-kg, 7.2-12 ft-lb)
Compressor mounting bolt: 14.7-21.6 N.m (1.5-2~2 rn-kg, 10.8-15.9 ft-lb)
