Air Cleaner Housing: Description and Operation

Intake Air System:

Dirt and dust particles in the air are abrasive. If allowed into the engine with intake air, they can cause significant damage in a short period of time. The air cleaner assembly, located on the front left side of the engine compartment, contains a paper filter element that removes these particles from intake air. The paper element should be replaced periodically. Cleaning with compressed air is not recommended. Refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES.
