DESCRIPTION
On some MX-5 models, the cassette tape Will not eject from the Panasonic cassette deck. This may be caused by the cassette deck.
NOTE:
This Service Bulletin replaces Service Bulletins, Category T, No. 004/90 and No. 007/91.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
If this problem is present, check operation of radio, fuse and related wiring. Do not attempt to remove the tape. This will cause further damage.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. If no problems are found, remove the unit. See Section "T" of the Workshop Manual.
2. Inform the customer that the unit will be sent to the Panasonic service center to remove the tape.
NOTE:
If the tape is not damaged, Panasonic will make every effort to return the tape to the customer.
3. Contact Panasonic at either of the centers listed in step 4. Have the following information available:
^ Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) ^ Date of Delivery
^ Repair Order No. (R.O.) ^ Customer's Name and Address
^ Description of Problem
4. Send the unit with tape, and all requested information to one of the centers shown.
NOTE:
Do not send the unit without first contacting Panasonic.
