DESCRIPTION

We request that you pay attention to the following instructions when tightening the drain plug on the aluminum oil pan. If not, oil leakage may result from poor installation of the drain plug washer.
The drain plug will be modified from February, 1990 for easier centering of the washer.


TIGHTENING TORQUE

1. Tighten the plug by hand until the washer squarely contacts the oil pan as shown in figure (A).

2. Tighten the plug to the specified torque.

Tightening Torque: 22-30 ft.lb. (29-41 N-m, 3.0-4.2 m - kg)
