DESCRIPTION

The design of the front damper is not the same on MMUC (made in U.S.) and MC (made in Japan) vehicles. The shape of the hole in the top mounting block is different -- MC vehicles use a mounting block with a round hole, and MMUC vehicles use a mounting block with a "D" shaped hole.

Therefore, the "AN" supersession in the parts manual is in error. When replacing a front damper on a MMUC vehicle, there are two alternatives.

^ Replace with a MMUC made front damper.

^ Replace with a MC made damper, using the correct mounting block.
