DESCRIPTION

Through routine inspection, some vehicles have been found to have the cowl grill protector unfastened as in the illustration below.

Our investigation has disclosed that poor adhesion, accompanied by climatic change, is the main cause of this problem. If encountered, please correct according to the repair procedures described below.

Since mass-production on August 11, 1989, additional adhesive has been applied to the area concerned for improved adhesion.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Apply quick-dry adhesive to the area in question and refit the protector as shown.

2. Slide a ruler between the protector and the windshield (this will equalize the pressure applied to the seal). Then gently press the edge of the cowl grill until the adhesive dries.

NOTE:
Take care not to apply excessive amounts of adhesive or spill it in areas other than those specified.
