ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE

When adjusting only the line pressure, loosen bolt "B" and follow steps 5 thru 8.

1. When reassembling components, assemble all parts except the throttle cable.

2. Install the inner cable end to the throttle cable.

3. Leave the throttle fully closed (cam touching the stopper), and install pressure gauge to the plug for line pressure.

4. Tighten Bolt "A" to 7-10 nm (70-100 cmkg, 81-87 in. lb).

5. Adjust line pressure to 402-422 kPa (4.1-4.3 kg/sq. cm(2), 58-61 psi) by sliding the outer throttle cable.

6. After starting the engine, check the throttle cable to make sure it does not stick by opening and closing the throttle cam several times.

7. With the cam in the fully closed position (at P or N range), confirm that the line pressure is within the specification 402-422 kPa (4.1-4.3 kg/sq. cm(2), 58-61 psi). If the line pressure is incorrect, return to step 3.

8. If the line pressure is correct, tighten bolt "B" to 7-10 nm (70-100 cm-kg, 81-87 in. lb.).
