DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may experience a grinding noise or delayed engagement when shifting to reverse. This is caused by the reverse gear and reverse idler gear not meshing properly. Machining modifications have been made to correct this problem.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
If this condition exists, replace the parts as listed in the Parts Information below. Repair procedures are outlined in Section J of the Workshop Manual.
