DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may experience a grinding noise or delayed engagement when shifting to reverse. The tips of the reverse gear and reverse idler gear do not mesh properly.
Maching modifications have been made to the primary shaft reverse gear, reverse gear and reverse idler gear.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
If this condition exists, replace the parts as listed in the Parts Information. Repair procedures are outlined in Section J of the Workshop Manual.
