DESCRIPTION

On some subject vehicles, water enters the door after rain or washing and the door speakers become damaged, causing poor sound quality. A speaker cover set is available as a service part. If you encounter this problem, install the speaker cover set to new speakers.

NOTE:
Contents of kit are Speaker Cover (qty 2), container of adhesive (qty 1), and instruction manual.


INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Remove the door panel.

2. Referring to the illustration, cut the clear vinyl sheet inside the door using a knife. Insert a grommet into each hole.

3. Apply adhesive (appx. 1/3 of container) to the back of the speaker cover. Align the screw holes of the speaker cover and the grommets, and install the speaker cover onto the clear vinyl sheet.

NOTE:
Be sure speaker cover is in down position. Bend the area indicated "Bend Here" downward inside the door (it is the drain).

4. Install the speaker according to the speaker instruction manual (provided with the assembly) and attach the door panel.
