Fig. 42 ABS Control Unit Location.:

1. Remove scuff plate and side trim below righthand side of dash, Fig. 42.
2. Turn ignition switch to the Off position, then connect ABS control unit connector to the ABS tester at the harness side.
3. If tester does not operate, check the fuse, ignition switch and circuit.

4. On 1989-90 models, check for an open in wire B from terminal T of the control unit to the JC-02 joint connector, Fig. 43.

5. On 1991 models, check for an open in wire B from terminal T of the control unit to the O-08 joint connector, Fig. 44.
6. On all models, when checking each control unit terminal, use only very thin pins to prevent damage to terminals.
