Righthand & Lefthand

After completion any on vehicle service procedure, verify system operation by checking airbag warning lamp. If system is operating normally, the warning lamp will come on when the ignition switch is turned On, then go Off after approximately 6 seconds.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove knee protector, then disconnect clock spring connectors (orange and blue).
3. Disconnect D-sensor connectors, then remove undercover.
4. Remove clips, bolts and D sensor.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Position sensor with arrow towards front of vehicle.
b. Torque mounting bolts to 78-113 inch lbs.
