DESCRIPTION

Some 1988-'91, USA made, 626/MX-6 models may have water entering the vehicle in front floor, headliner (sunroof) or trunk areas. If a customer complains about this, perform the appropriate repairs. These areas may also be discovered during PDI or while in dealer inventory.

If the area where water entered the vehicle cannot be confirmed, perform a water leak test. See Locating Source of Water Leaks section under appropriate area of water entry.

NOTE:
Some of these procedures should only be performed by personnel experienced in body shop work.

LOCATION OF LEAKS

NOTE:
An alternate method for locating some water leaks (i.e. around windshield and door seals) is to turn the blower on High, select Fresh Air Intake and close all doors. Apply soap suds to suspected areas. Large bubbles will appear at leak areas.
