Removal

REMOVAL









1. Jack up the front of the vehicle and support it with safety stands.
2. Remove the wheel and tire.
3. Remove the caliper assembly and suspend it with a rope.





4. Remove the hubcap.
5. Uncrimp the locknut.
6. Remove the locknut and the washer.





7. Remove the disc plate.





8. Remove the dust cover.





9. Remove the wheel speed sensor (ABS).





10. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the nut. Separate the tie-rod end from the knuckle with the SST.

Note: Use the nut to protect the stud threads when using the SST.
If removal is difficult, lightly tap the knuckle arm with a hammer.





11. Separate the knuckle arm from the knuckle spindle.





12. Remove the knuckle spindle.





13. Remove the knuckle arm.

Caution: Do not damage the knuckle arm.
